Working Title Logos Revealed For Han Solo Spinoff

Lucasfilm has got the practice of keeping all details pertaining to their projects top-secret down to a fine art by now. Even though the film is knee-deep in production, news remains scant on the upcoming Han Solo spinoff. Apart from the principal cast, a couple of hints about the new characters to be found in the movie and some rather bland set photos that tease a familiar location, we know surprisingly little about it. Heck, we don't even know the title.

Heck, we don’t even know the title.

That might be about to change, however, thanks to the below images that have appeared on Twitter, via users @ManaByte and @Yeahclarke. They show two T-shirts that belong to the crew of the project, each sporting a different logo featuring the film’s working title. Fittingly, it’s currently going by the name of Solo.

As it’s such a natural title for the movie, we wouldn’t be surprised if this stayed all the way through production and became its actual moniker. It’s a fairly obvious one, sure, and some fans might want something more imaginative, but it does the job. At the very least, casual viewers will know exactly what the film’s about.

In terms of the logos themselves, we probably prefer the first one. The use of Han’s iconic blaster in place of the ‘L’ in his name is a nice touch. In contrast, the second logo is much more classic Star Wars, including the traditional font and golden colouring. It’ll be interesting to see if either of these end up being the official logo of the movie, though we imagine that if one of them remains, there will be some alterations made to it before release.

The Han Solo spinoff, which we can now tentatively call Solo, stars Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover and many others. It’s directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and blasts into cinemas on May 25th.
