7) And Is Kraglin One, Too?
While we knew that Mantis would join the Guardians inĀ Vol. 2, thanks to the movie’s marketing, one character we didn’t expect to have such a major part in the film was Kraglin, Yondu’s right-hand Ravager. Kraglin did have a small supporting role in the first movie, but his importance is amplified this time around as he becomes the Guardians’ driver, proving to be an invaluable ally when he saves the gang from Ego’s planet at the climax.
Kraglin also gets his own post-credits sequence, too. He inherits Yondu’s head-fin and whistled-controlled Yaka Arrow after his boss’ death and is seen trying to get a grip on how it works. Unfortunately, he isn’t too good at it yet and accidentally stabs Drax with it.
It looks like Kraglin is a regular on the Milano now, then, which begs the question: is he another new Guardian? Seeing as the character’s played by Sean Gunn, the brother of director James Gunn and the on-set mocap performer of Rocket, it makes sense that he would get to be part of the on-screen family, too.
