Will Gluck To Direct Sex On The Moon

You probably haven't heard of Sex On The Moon. It's a book by Ben Mezrich. Who's Ben Mezrich you ask? He's a fantastic author who has written a whole handful of incredible novels, some of which have been turned into movies. Ever heard of 21? Or how about a little movie called The Social Network? Yup, both of those were based on his books. His most recent novel, Sex on the Moon: The Amazing Story Behind the Most Audacious Heist in History, was picked up by The Social Network producing team (Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti) and now a director has been found. Will Gluck, who directed Easy A and the upcoming Friends With Benefits will helm the project.

You probably haven’t heard of Sex On The Moon. It’s a book by Ben Mezrich. Who’s Ben Mezrich you ask? He’s a fantastic author who has written a whole handful of incredible novels, some of which have been turned into movies. Will Gluck, who directed Easy A and the upcoming Friends With Benefits will helm the project which will follow “a NASA employee who stole and attempted to sell pieces of the moon, in part to impress his girlfriend.”

I’m not sure how I feel about Gluck directing this. I didn’t love Easy A, but Friends With Benefits looks pretty funny. I haven’t read Mezrich’s book so I can’t comment on the material itself but I think Gluck is a fairly competent director and hopefully he’ll do a good job with the film. Maybe he’ll team up with Emma Stone again?

I’ve read all of Mezrich’s novels, except this one, and they’re all fantastic so I don’t see this being anything but and with The Social Network producing team behind it, that gives me even more faith. For now though, I’m waiting to see who fills the cast, then we’ll have a better idea of where this one is heading.
