Just last week, it was announced that Australian filmmaker Ryan Unicomb would shed some light on Mad Max creator George Miller’s failed 2007 Justice League film in a new documentary titled Miller’s Justice League Mortal. The doc is still in early development and searching for investors, but we already have a glimpse at what it might entail thanks to the film’s new official Twitter account.

Over the weekend, several pieces of concept art from Justice League Mortal were released, showing Wonder Woman (who would have been played by Mad Max: Fury Road actress Megan Gale) in action and flying over her Amazonian homeland, Themyscira, Aquaman’s potential costume and the bust of Martian Manhunter, who would have been played by Mad Max and Fury Road alum Hugh Keays-Byrne.

We’ve also been treated to a bit of storyboard art teasing an epic battle between Wonder Woman and Superman that looks to be as destructive as Man of Steel‘s climactic Metropolis brawl. All in all, the images aren’t very revealing, but they do give us a tantalizing hint at what could have been.

Unfortunately, it’s the only tease we’re likely to get for a while, as the official Twitter states that “Nothing further will be released until the documentary,” and that the images already provided came straight from the artists who created them.

Tell us, what do you think of this new concept art? Does it make you wish that George Miller had been given the chance to make his DC team-up film? Sound off in the comments below and keep an eye out for more news on Miller’s Justice League Mortal as production moves forward.
