Back in February, the David Leitch-directed sequel headed back into production in Vancouver in an attempt to shoot some additional photography and pick-ups before its release on May 18th. That’s all well and good, but a number of half-baked rumors followed and only served to muddy the waters, leading to a scenario in which factoids were circulated online and fiction passed as fact – i.e. those reports claiming Fox’s summer tentpole had bombed with its test audiences.

Whether that’s the case or not, we can’t say for sure, as we’ve heard too many conflicting rumors at this stage. What we do know, however, is that those aforementioned reshoots made way for a “secret cameo.” And though it is an exciting one, unfortunately, it’s not Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Spoilers will follow from this point on, so here’s your one and only chance to turn back.

Still with us? Good.

The cameo in question belongs to none other than that “Invisible Man,” who’s been glimpsed in the trailers and even that recent poster. You never actually see him in the flesh, though, except for one quick moment, which is when he dies. Yes, unfortunately, the entire X-Force team perishes during their very first mission.

We won’t get into the specifics of it all here, but when it comes to this particular character, he skydives out of a plane and while parachuting down to the ground, he crashes into some electrical cables. Of course, this leads to him being fried and when that happens, for a brief second a body appears, and it’s none other than Brad Pitt.

That’s right, the A-list actor, who was originally going to play Cable, makes an incredibly brief, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in Deadpool 2 as the Invisible Man. After the quick electrocution, the character dies and you never see him again, but if you don’t know what’s coming, the cameo is a nice little surprise and should definitely please audiences when they go to see the film.
