Rumor has it that Fox is looking into a Die Hard 6 and is currently meeting with potential writers, hoping to find the right pitch for the story. Now, before you groan at the fact that the studio is trying to spit out another movie in a franchise that hasn’t seen a good entry since Die Hard With a Vengeance, listen to this. In order to re-capture the magic of the aforementioned sequel (which truly was the last good Die Hard film), they’re hoping to bring back Samuel L. Jackson to reprise his role as Zeus Carver.
The news comes to us from a Tweet, courtesy of Latino Review, who can be pretty hit or miss on their scoops. There hasn’t been any word from Fox on this as of yet, so we’d advise that you take it with a grain of salt. If it is true, however, it’s definitely exciting.
TWITTER SCOOP: FOX is meeting writers for takes on next DIE HARD. It has to involve John McClane AND Samuel Jackson’s Zeus Carver character!

As I said before, the third Die Hard film was really the last one that didn’t suck. Jackson’s character was an excellent foil for Willis’ John McClane and the two played off each other perfectly. If Fox is able to bring the actor back to reprise his role, then there’s a good chance that we’ll actually get a decent Die Hard movie.
Again, there’s no confirmation of any kind just yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted if and when we hear more. In the meantime, tell us, do you think bringing Samuel L. Jackson back for Die Hard 6 is a good idea? Or should Fox just leave the franchise alone already? Sound off below!
