Forget the Waynes you knew and mourned; with Flashpoint, Warner Bros. is poised to flip the DC Extended Universe on its head and have Thomas and Martha assume the roles of Batman and the Joker, respectively.
And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, thanks to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan are still attached to give the Waynes a new lease of life in the not-so-distant future, and in honor of that retcon, BossLogic has produced two stunning pieces of concept art that imagine the Walking Dead duo as Gotham’s Dark Knight and the Clown Prince of Crime.
In comic book lore, the “Flashpoint” arc sees Barry Allen zip back in time to save his mother, but he inadvertently triggers a domino effect that spreads throughout the DC Universe. And so, Thomas and Martha wind up surviving that infamous mugging, but the untimely death of Bruce leads the Wayne family down two very separate tracks: one to vigilantism, the other to sheer, unbridled villainy.

Warner Bros. is yet to actively confirm whether Morgan and Cohan will ever appear in Flashpoint, but considering Ben Affleck is all but finished with Batman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan could swoop in at the perfect time and inject some fresh blood into the Caped Crusader.
And though Justice League fell flat – despite a global haul in excess of $600 million (so far, at least), the Zack Snyder epic was torn to shred by critics, and has prompted a major overhaul at DC Films – the DC Extended Universe has whipped together a strong lineup that continues with the release of Aquaman late next year.
It’ll be coming by way of horror maestro James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious), and has a release date of December 21st, 2018. Flashpoint, on the other hand, is said to be undergoing some changes in light of Justice League, so stay tuned for more.
