For the second consecutive year, director Duncan Jones brought a sizzle reel for his upcoming Warcraft to San Diego Comic-Con, and for the second consecutive year, said footage remained locked behind closed doors. However, in keeping with this year’s trend of leaked trailers, a bootleg version of the clip has appeared online, showcasing the director’s mystical, expansive take on Azeroth.
As one would expect, it’s shot from an obscure angle, and while it isn’t a fair indication of the final product – visually or aurally – the video above does at least illustrate some of the special effects that we can expect from Legendary’s blockbuster.
[zerg]For the uninitiated, Warcraft will chart the first encounter between man and orc, with the film’s large, star-studded roster divided between The Alliance and The Horde – a roster that encompasses dwarfs and trolls, too. Expect the first official trailer to debut in November, but for now, you can squint at the low-res version above.
Warcraft will march into theatres on June 10, 2016.
