Mad Men may be over, but actress Elisabeth Moss has not been hurting for work. She returns to the screen this month in Truth, James Vanderbilt’s adaptation of the Mary Mapes memoir Truth and Duty, which chronicles the CBS 60 Minutes report on then-President George W. Bush’s military service in the National Guard and the subsequent controversy which erupted over it.
Moss plays Lucy Scott in the film, a journalism professor and tireless researcher who worked as an associate producer on the Bush story, only to become undone when people begin to question the documents and the facts that were presented on television.
We had the chance to speak with Moss recently while she was in Los Angeles doing press for Truth. During our interview, she talked extensively about the kind of research she did for the role, if she ever got to talk to the real Lucy Scott, and why she graduated from high school two years early.
Check out our exclusive interview in the video above and be sure to catch Truth when it hits theatres this Friday!
