It’s been a super busy year for filmmaker Eli Roth. First, he gave us the long awaited cannibal horror flick, The Green Inferno. Now, he’s following that up with Knock Knock, an unnerving thriller starring Keanu Reeves that sees the actor playing Evan Webber, a devoted husband and father who is left home alone for the weekend while his wife and kids go on vacation.
While busy working on a project one night, two young women (played by Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas) knock on his door and ask for his help, saying that they’re lost and can’t find their way to a party. Evan agrees to help them out, but his kind gesture soon has him descending into a living hell, as the ladies proceed to play merciless psychosexual games that could cost him a lot more than his life.
Recently, at the LA press day for Knock Knock, we had the chance to speak with Roth and Reeves about their new film. During our exclusive interview, they spoke about how much fun they had shooting the movie, the different layers to the story and characters, and how emotionally exhausting it was.
Hear what they had to say in the video above and be sure to catch Knock Knock, as it’s now playing in theatres and on VOD.
