Opening in theaters on August 21st is the new comedic drama from director Isabel Coixet, Learning to Drive. The film stars Academy Award-nominee Patricia Clarkson as Wendy, a Manhattan writer in the process of a divorce.
Needing to drive for the first time in her life, she takes lessons from a Sikh instructor named Darwan (Academy Award-winner Sir Ben Kingsley), who has marriage troubles of his own. While in each other’s company, they find the courage to get back on the road and the strength to take the wheel.
Recently, at the LA press day for Learning to Drive, we sat down with Kingsley and Clarkson for an exclusive interview about their new film. They spoke about working together once again, how intimacy is portrayed on screen, how they find their character and more.
Hear what they had to say in the video above and be sure to catch Learning to Drive when it hits theatres tomorrow.
