Just a couple of weeks ago, the internet seemed so confident that the all-important first trailer for Avengers 4 would be dropping at some point this month, and as December 1st looms ever-closer, many fans have been clinging to the notion that November 28th would be the day where this long-awaited footage would finally surface.
That date has now arrived, and boy do we have some disappointing news for you, as Anthony Breznican from Entertainment Weekly has offered a seemingly definitive answer on whether the teaser will be dropping today, expressing his blunt ‘no’ in video form:

Hate to say it, but this confirmation looks like the real deal, and what’s more, after the fans had all their hopes pinned on the 28th, there’s a good chance now that the trailer won’t be coming out until December.
If you haven’t been keeping up to date with the speculation, the reason why fans had their sights set on this day was the Avengers: Infinity War screening and Q&A hosted by co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo, with the common theory being that there was a very good reason why the pair would be holding a Marvel event at this time of the year.
Now that the 28th can apparently be taken off the list of potential trailer dates, the possibility remains that the Russo Brothers will be using this evening as an opportunity to announce the real date. But should today conclude without any such news, you can probably rule out the rest of November, too.
So, where does this leave us? Well, one remaining source of hope for fans is the release of the first issue of the Avengers 4 Prelude comic on December 5th, with many people speculating that Marvel Studios wouldn’t launch this tie-in series without giving us some footage beforehand. Nonetheless, if this potential clue also yields nothing in the end, we can at least take comfort in the certainty that the film itself is still set for release on May 3rd, 2019.
