Dominic Cooper is in talks to star in director Albert Hughes‘ upcoming revenge thriller Motor City, which will be distributed by Warner Bros and financed by Dark Castle Entertainment. Besides Cooper’s possible casting, Motor City, which was written by Chad St. John and Joel Silver, is receiving buzz due to the fact that the entire movie only contains one line of dialogue.

Indie Wire is reporting that Silver, the co-founder of Dark Castle Entertainment, was so impressed with Cooper’s double-role of Uday Hussein and Latif Yahia in last summer’s The Devil’s Double that he wanted the actor for the film’s lead role. If cast, Cooper will be replacing his Captain America: The First Avenger co-star Chris Evans, who was one of the first actors considered for Motor City‘s lead role.

Motor City, which was included on the 2009 Black List, follows a small-time crook who is framed and sent to jail. After he’s released from prison, the felon, the role Cooper will play if he’s cast, will go after the men who wrongfully put him away.

While The Devil’s Double is the only film Cooper has truly lead on his own, it seems Warner Bros. has the confidence that he’s a strong enough actor to carry the one-line script. If the drama is any indication of Cooper’s acting ability, he’ll surely succeed in making Motor City a hit.
