It seems Disney Plus hasn’t sat down to watch James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 yet because it’s completely snubbing the threequel’s main character.
The movie still isn’t out on streaming, but it seems that the folk at the Mouse House are once again getting the details wrong. In this particular instance, the cast list completely fails to mention Bradley Cooper, which is ironic, considering the fact that his character Rocket Raccoon is probably the star of the hour in James Gunn’s concluding Guardians of the Galaxy.
In fact, even the director’s brother, Sean Gunn, who reprised his role as Kraglin, is getting left out.
In fairness, these lists only ever feature six names in the “starring” section, but I think we can all agree that Bradley Cooper deserved to be there after Chris Pratt or Zoe Saldana. One might even argue that he was a much more integral part of the Guardians ensemble than Gamora, all things considered.
Nitpicking aside, though, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now available on digital, and it seems that the MCU fandom is once again coming together to praise Gunn for his brilliant filmmaking chops, without which Kevin Feige would’ve been hard-pressed to name a single great movie from the recent Marvel Studios lineup.
Not only that, Disney is unveiling a few deleted scenes that didn’t make it to the theatrical version. They don’t change anything crucial about the Guardians’ swansong, or add anything fundamentally groundbreaking to the plot, but they do tie up some loose ends, so make sure to check them out if you get a minute.
