At 12:02 a.m. ET today, Disney officially acquired an overwhelming array of Fox properties, and on the company’s website, these new arrivals are acknowledged by an updated banner. As you can see, not only is Deadpool pictured in the line-up, but also the Na’vi from Avatar and Bart Simpson, the latter of whom may regret calling Mickey Mouse “the mascot of an evil corporation” in The Simpsons Movie.

Of course, Disney’s list of new acquisitions extends far, far beyond these three properties, and includes the likes of Alien, Predator, Planet of the Apes, Family Guy, The X-Files, American Horror Story, Ice Age, Bob’s Burgers, Home Alone and we could keep going, but you probably get the idea.

For Marvel fans in particular, this deal is significant for the fact that it allows Kevin Feige and his team to bring the Fantastic Four and X-Men into the MCU. We may have to wait until the D23 Expo in August before we hear any official announcements on the matter, but in the meantime, writers Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Ryan Reynolds are apparently already at work on Deadpool 3.

Though there was some concern from fans that Wade Wilson wouldn’t be allowed to stay R-rated under Disney, CEO Bob Iger offered his assurance earlier this year that the Merc won’t be forced to go family friendly. And going by the new banner, the company isn’t shy about having such a foul-mouthed figure in their roster. It’ll be interesting to see if and how Deadpool transitions from one cinematic universe to another, but in the meantime, the MCU will be clearing space for some new arrivals when Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26th.
