As long as movies and media have been intertwined, spoilers have been a touchy subject for all to deal with. Some people can’t go without them, others avoid them like a plague, and it’s pretty much impossible for those in my field to work around them. But then we have merchandising companies who spill all sorts of beans ahead of a film’s release, whether we want to know them or not. So, having said that, be forewarned that you’re about to learn more about Justice League than you may have bargained for.
After (seemingly) meeting his end at the hand of Doomsday in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, the more adept moviegoers out there instantly knew that the Man of Steel’s return from the grave was an inevitability. Long story short, it happened in the comics, and we’re all expecting it to happen in Justice League, no matter how much promo material he’s been left out of.
Naturally, we assume that Kal-El will don some new threads upon his resurrection, something we were pretty much assured of thanks to it being confirmed that a black-suited Superman will be included in wave 2 of the toy line. Granted, action figures are known for having oddly colored variant costumes, but this situation was more than coincidental. Plus, other marketing materials have since been added to the growing mountain of evidence, with composer Danny Elfman also dropping some major hints.
Now, thanks to Superhero Stuff, those wishing to purchase their black Superman baseball cap are in for quite the shocker when they click on this baby. Most likely expecting to learn if that hat’s available in their size, unsuspecting fans will instead be bombarded with the details of the Boy Scout’s return, which sounds like it’ll be quite accurate to the source material.
Based on Superman’s newly-resurrected appearance in the hit film, ‘Justice League.’
Our Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat is based on Superman’s costume post-death:
A black variation of the Superman suit adorned during his time in the regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday.
In the film Justice League, it seems Superman’s cinematic resurrection will parallel the hit comic story, considering he returns in a stylish black costume soon after a very tense fight with Doomsday.
With that cat out of the bag, let’s hope that a description for a beach towel or some other piece of merchandise doesn’t spoil, I don’t know, Batman’s decision to hang up the cowl and open a chain of pizzerias. All jests aside, we ask that some surprises still be left for when Justice League opens in theaters on November 17.
