Wade And The Family Get Together For Old-School Deadpool 2 Promo Pic

It's a family reunion of the Deadpool variety in this all-new promo pic for Fox's upcoming sequel, indicating that a trailer is right around the corner.

As the entire film industry braces for Black Panther, the first true tentpole of 2018, Wade Wilson is hard at work preparing for Deadpool 2‘s big trailer showcase. And this being a Deadpool film, Ryan Reynolds and the gang aren’t exactly playing by the rulebook.

In typically hilarious fashion, the actor took to Twitter just this morning to share a frisky new poster of the Merc channeling Alex Owens, the welder-by-day, stripper-by-night who originally wormed her way into our hearts with Flashdance. Her iconic moment comes as she drenches herself on stage; Wade Wilson, however, had better ideas, swapping out water for a hail of bullet casings.

The latest poster retains that nostalgia factor and brings in the whole family, including Zazie Beetz (Domino), Infinity War‘s Josh Brolin (Cable), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa/Copycat), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus) and Leslie Uggams as the gun-toting Blind Al.

Feast your eyes on it in the gallery below, along with the one from earlier this morning:

It’s another example of the Deadpool 2 team making up for lost time, given 20th Century Fox decided to skip the Super Bowl entirely – something that didn’t go unnoticed on social media. Current rumors have a new, full-length trailer dropping in time for Black Panther, which is currently whipping up a storm online ahead of its own theatrical release on February 16th.

Like all Marvel tentpoles, it’ll release overseas a little early, so be sure to exercise caution when visiting your go-to social media sites. Remember, the Internet is dark and full of spoilers.

In light of 20th Century Fox’s shake-up, Deadpool 2 has been brought forward to May 18th, and will now open in close proximity to Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story. No pressure, then.
