The Dark Knight Rises Will Be Close To Three Hours Long

The official runtime for The Dark Knight Rises has been revealed thanks to the Australian Event Cinemas website. As seen above, the website states that the film will run for 2 hours and 40 minutes, which is slightly longer than the 2 hours and 32 minute runtime of The Dark Knight. While this hasn't been confirmed by the studio, it's a safe bet that this is in fact the real runtime for the film.

The official runtime for The Dark Knight Rises has been revealed thanks to the Australian Event Cinemas website. As seen above, the website states that the film will run for 2 hours and 40 minutes, which is slightly longer than the 2 hours and 32 minute runtime of The Dark Knight. While this hasn’t been confirmed by the studio, it’s a safe bet that this is in fact the real runtime for the film.

Not much else to say but this can only be seen as a good thing, right? The more Batman the better, especially since this is his final outing. The Dark Knight felt perfectly paced at its 2 and a half hour plus runtime and you can probably expect the same with The Dark Knight Rises. If it’s 2 hours and 40 minutes then it’s for a reason. I wouldn’t expect it to slow down or drag at all.

Early reports are calling the film flawless and I have no doubt that it will be.

The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20th, 2012 in North America.
