Michael Caine has let it slip that Daniel Radcliffe will have a role in Now You See Me 2. While doing an interview this evening at Royal Albert Hall, the actor revealed the following information about the upcoming sequel to 2013’s surprise hit:
“There’s a sequel to Now You See Me and we’re shooting in London. I shoot in December, the whole of December in London, and my son is Harry Potter. I thought it’d be funny, me and Daniel Radcliffe as father and son.”
Set to drop in 2016, not much is known about the plot of Now You See Me 2. What we do know, however, is that the original cast are all returning and Jon M. Chu is likely the top candidate to direct. Aside from that though, we’re still very much in the dark on this one.
Still, it’s hard not to be excited for whatever the studio has in store for us with the film. Now You See Me was a very fun ride, with several clever twists and turns. The entire cast had great chemistry and the possibilities for where a sequel could go are plentiful. Radcliffe is definitely a welcome addition to an already appealing cast and as of now, I’m feeling quite optimistic about the project.
