Despite being one of the best James Bonds ever, Daniel Craig has been reported to have said that he doesn’t want to be 007 anymore – and that he wanted Skyfall to be his last outing as the spy. How… weird?
Speaking out on the Skyfall press rounds, Craig had this to say on the matter:
“I’ve been trying to get out of this from the very moment I got into it. But they won’t let me go, and I’ve agreed to do a couple more, but let’s see how this one does, because business is business and if the shit goes down, I’ve got a contract that somebody will happily wipe their ass with.”
Shit? Ass? A certified potty mouth, that’s for sure.
But this news comes somewhat surprisingly, really, given all the praise he’s received thus far. The interview might have taken place before Skyfall turned out to be such a huge hit, however, so perhaps Craig has changed his mind since then. Still, you ungrateful little bugger, you – you’re James Bond!
Given his apparent indifference to the role, should Daniel Craig step aside and make way for somebody else?
Skyfall is out everywhere now and is making a ton of money. Go and give them some more, if you like.
