Elizabeth Olsen is rapidly becoming a more widely known talent thanks to her performance in Legendary’s Godzilla, and this summer she’ll be back in a starring role for the indie drama Very Good Girls, alongside Dakota Fanning. The film premiered at Sundance 18 months back and it’s been gathering dust ever since, but Tribeca Film and Well Go Entertainment are finally unveiling it this summer, with an iTunes release followed by a theatrical run. Now, the first trailer for Very Good Girls has hit the web.

In the film, directed by Naomi Foner, Olsen and Fanning star as college-bound friends who, after making a pact to lose their virginity over the summer, fall in love with the same street artist (Boyd Holbrook) and find themselves in conflict for the first time. Reviews out of Sundance weren’t terrible but also weren’t exactly warm, so this one will be worth seeing for the cast alone. In addition to Olsen and Fanning, Very Good Girls stars Clark Gregg, Ellen Barkin, Richard Dreyfuss, Demi Moore and Peter Sarsgaard. Check out the trailer below:

Though the plot is familiar, Olsen and Fanning are two very strong actresses, and both are at great moments in their careers, which might explain why Very Good Girls is finally seeing release. Aside from Godzilla, Olsen turned in a strong performance in Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake and is currently filming scenes as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch for Avengers: Age of Ultron. For her part, Fanning starred in the just-released Night Moves and has the title role in upcoming historical drama Effie Gray. Also on her schedule: Susan Cahalan memoir adaptation Brain on Fire, animated family flick Yellowbird, drama Franny and an untitled project with Miss Bala director Gerardo Naranjo.

Very Good Girls opens June 24th on iTunes/VOD then in theaters on July 25th.
