Your Complete Guide To Every Disney Remake, Sequel And Spinoff In The Works

You might have noticed that Disney are currently in the middle of remaking a whole bunch of their classic animated movies in live-action. The initiative launched with 2010's Alice in Wonderland and really took off with more recent offerings like Cinderella and The Jungle Book.

Cast: N/A

Is it a Musical? Too early to say, but we would imagine it won’t be.

Worth it? There are so many King Arthur movies out there already, so on the one hand, it makes a lot of sense for Disney to produce a new version of their 1963 film which looked at his youthful adventures with Merlin. On the other hand, do we really need another telling of this tale?

Pinocchio

Crew: The only name attached so far is writer Peter Hedges, previously of About a Boy and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? 

Cast: N/A

Is it a Musical? Quit asking that question, will ya? We don’t know!

Worth it? Much like Dumbo, Pinocchio is one of Disney’s oldest movies, so a reboot has the potential to make the classic story accessible to a new generation of children again, who otherwise might be put off by the previous one’s age. There’s a lot of inherent darkness in the tale, though, which will be interesting to see brought out – if they choose to include it.
