The Cinemaholics were just as surprised as you were when the first Paddington turned out to be a terrific film for kids and adults. Now, its highly anticipated sequel, Paddington 2, is finally out in U.S. theaters, so it’s time to snack on some marmalade and discuss the ongoing adventures of everyone’s favorite talking bear in London.
Elsewhere on the show, we review The Commuter, starring Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson and Sam Neill. That’s right, there’s another high-stakes Liam Neeson action movie coming out that takes place on a mode of transportation.
Later on, the Cinemaholics catch up on some other films and shows we’ve been waiting a while to talk about. Jon and Maveryke rave about The End of the F****** World, a new series on Netflix, while Will recommends a great new 2018 pic that’s flying under the radar called Blame, directed by, written by and starring Quinn Shephard.
Also, Jon and Will finally share their faint praise in regard to The Post, Steven Spielberg’s latest effort starring Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. And then they dig into Molly’s Game, Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut starring Jessica Chastain, before finishing off with a quick chat about David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, a new Netflix talk show with Barack Obama as Letterman’s first guest.
