While quirky gadgets and futuristic weapons have been among the trademark elements of the Men in Black series, it’s hard to deny that there’s some satisfaction to be found in the thought of seeing Chris Hemsworth straight up punch a few aliens.
Though it’s unclear yet if hand-to-hand combat is a route that the fourth film will be taking, we can at least imagine what these brawls might look like with this new behind the scenes training montage, featuring the Thor actor preparing for his role as Agent H.
Outdoor session in London for MIB!! Cheers to @zocothebodypro for posing as an alien and letting me beat up on him. Sorry for the boot in the face 😬😁 #MenInBlack pic.twitter.com/lFP3sZBYkK

The footage was posted to Hemsworth’s own Twitter account with the accompanying text: “Outdoor session in London for MIB!! Cheers to @zocothebodypro for posing as an alien and letting me beat up on him. Sorry for the boot in the face.” The tagged user, meanwhile, is one Luke Zocchi, Hemsworth’s personal trainer who has experience getting the Australian star into the shape for Marvel actioners like Avengers: Age of Ultron and Thor: Ragnarok.
Speaking of the latter, Hemsworth won’t be the only familiar face from the God of Thunder’s last solo film to make the jump to MIB. Annihilation’s Tessa Thompson will be co-starring as Agent M, with recent set pics giving us our first look at the actress alongside her fellow Ragnarok alumnus, both dressed in the classic white shirt and black tie.
Hemsworth and Thompson will be replacing Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the leads of the series, but that’s not to say that this will be a completely clean reboot. Not only are the adventures of Agent J and Agent K from the first three films still canon to the franchise, but Emma Thomspon will also be reprising her role as MIB head Agent O from 2012’s Men In Black 3.
While the series continues to hold a special place in the hearts of sci-fi fans, there’s yet to be a Men In Black sequel that was received with the same enthusiasm as the 1997 original. With that in mind, we’ll see how Hemsworth and the rest of the team fare in recapturing the magic of the first film when movie number four arrives on June 14th, 2019.
