Child’s Play Star Eyed For Role In A Quiet Place 2

The Wrap is reporting tonight that a star from the upcoming Child's Play remake is being eyed for a role in A Quiet Place 2.

A Quiet Place

While John Krasinski and Paramount have been keeping pretty quiet on what they have planned with A Quiet Place 2, The Wrap is reporting tonight that Brian Tyree Henry of Atlanta and Child’s Play fame is in talks to join the line-up for the highly anticipated horror sequel.

Again, details on the plot and whatnot have been hard to come by, but Henry’s a solid talent who’s been seeing his career rise substantially over the last few years. Unfortunately, details on who he’ll play or how large of a role he’ll have weren’t made available, but his involvement can only be a good thing.

What we can tell you for now is that A Quiet Place 2 will bring about the return of Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as the three surviving members of the Abbott family. Cillian Murphy will be joining them as well, hopping on board as one of the cast’s newcomers alongside Henry.

Krasinski has already gone on record to say that the property’s sequel potential lies less in the individual characters and more in the world they inhabit. As such, we imagine that A Quiet Place 2 will further explore and play with the logic of a world where keeping the noise down is a matter of life and death. And that’s perfectly alright with us.

Whatever angle it takes, though, after the original racked up $340 million in box office receipts – on a budget of $17 million, no less – and was hailed as one of the best horror films of last year, Krasinski is certainly dealing with some lofty expectations. But we’ll find out if A Quiet Place 2 can deliver on all the hype when it arrives in theaters on May 15th, 2020.
