Justice League BTS Video Shows Deleted Footage Of The Flash Saving Iris West

I'm an optimistic guy by nature, so despite the many hurdles in its way I'm pretty sure that at some point in the future we'll get to see the fabled 'Snyder cut' of Justice League. Granted, we have contend with the fact that Snyder's version apparently only exists as a very rough edit with unfinished CGI and a temp score, and it's difficult to imagine Warner Bros executives being willing to throw yet more money at the film to finish it (chances are they're busy pretending it didn't happen at all). Still, we eventually got to see the Richard Donner cut of Superman II - albeit 26 years after the film's theatrical release. So, by that metric, we should expect the Snyder cut no later than 2043.

Still, we eventually got to see the Richard Donner cut of Superman II – albeit 26 years after its theatrical release. So, by that metric, we should expect the Snyder cut no later than 2043. But who’s counting, right?

While it might be a bit of a wait then until we get our hands on it, we can at least start to form a decent idea of what it might show. We’ve previously seen the deleted scene of the Flash saving Iris West (Kiersey Clemons) from a fatal car crash and now we can take a peek behind the curtain and see how they did it.

The video above shows Clemons in a computer controlled gimbal (and apparently enjoying herself judging by the giggles), before being swept up by Ezra Miller’s hero. The finished scene plays in an inset video, showing you how it was all put together. Pretty neat, eh?

Honestly, this looks like a really cool moment (and the special effects don’t seem that unfinished), especially when Barry takes a moment to let his jaw drop at how pretty she is. Sadly, though, this is probably all we’ll ever see of Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, as word is the character’s going to be recast for the upcoming Flash solo movie.

Chalk that up as a rumor for now, though, as there’s been little to no movement on the Scarlet Speedster’s standalone film. But as soon as we hear something concrete on either that or Snyder’s cut of Justice League, we’ll be sure to let you know.
