John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is shaping up to be one hell of an action movie, cranking up the style, discipline and intense choreography that the series has become known for since the first movie. This third chapter will see Wick on the run after a $14 million open contract’s put on his head after he breaks one of the cardinal rules of the Continental Hotel and kills someone on their grounds. Now, he has one hour to escape New York, while being pursued by the world’s deadliest assassins. Sounds pretty rad, right?

I’m fully expecting this flick to live up to the standards of the first two. Keanu Reeves clearly cares about the franchise (he turned down a role in Captain Marvel for the movie) and he’ll not want this to be an anticlimax. Not to mention that everything we’ve seen of it so far has looked great.

Now, with the release of the film roughly two months away, we’ve got a huge batch of simple but classy character posters to feast on, and you can check them out down below:

While you’ll recognize Reeves as Wick and his beloved dog, we also get a good look here at returning characters Winston (Ian McShane), Charon (Lance Reddick) and The Bowery King (Lawrence Fishburne). Furthermore, some of the newcomers to the series get the spotlight, too, with Sofia (Halle Berry), The Director (Angelica Huston), The Adjudicator (Asia Kate Dillon), Zero (Mark Dacascos), Tick Tock (Jason Mantzoukas) and The Elder (Saïd Taghmaoui) all featuring.

That’s quite a cast, and I can’t wait to see them using their very specific sets of skills against Wick’s gunplay. The film itself releases on May 17th, and I think it’s going to be a nice breath of fresh air amidst a very superhero-packed summer blockbuster line-up. Here’s hoping that director Chad Stahelski can live up to the sterling reputation that the John Wick franchise has earned amongst action movie connoisseurs.
