Whether you feel Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, American Dad and whatever other animated shows Seth MacFarlane is associated with these days have gone downhill with no recovery in sight, his directorial debut in Ted was a smash-hit. It’s only natural then that we’re anxiously awaiting his next project – which is seemingly completely unlike Ted despite most likely also being an R rated comedy – in A Million Ways To Die In The West, although we haven’t really had much news to share about it. There’s still no trailer available yet, but we do have another photo (seen above) from the film for you to feast your eyes on.

The picture shows Charlize Theron showcasing some expert marksman skills as she wields two revolvers. Seth MacFarlane is in the background looking on in awe and amazement, while Amanda Seyfried just appears frightened about something. There honestly isn’t much to discern from the photo, but it certainly has fantastic production values and paints an intriguing scene.

The official plot synopsis is as follows:

A cowardly farmer (Seth MacFarlane) seeks the help of a gunslinger’s wife (Charlize Theron) to help him win back the woman who left him.

A Million Ways To Die In The West also stars Liam Neeson, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman and Giovanni Ribisi, and releases in theaters on May 30th, 2014.
