Charlie Cox has an idea for an insane Daredevil crossover that makes complete canonical sense

Nobody does crossovers quite like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially now that the introduction of the multiverse has completely rewritten the rulebook. That being said, it’s hard to imagine Charlie Cox’s insane suggestion coming to fruition, even if it does have a genuine basis in Daredevil canon.

The actor is currently riding the crest of a wave having followed up his guest appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law with a mammoth 18-episode headlining stint in Disney Plus series Born Again, but even the returns of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher aren’t enough to satiate Cox’s desire for cross-pollination.

Speaking to CinemaBlend at the recent Fan Expo Dallas when quizzed on crossover opportunities, Netflix’s former Matt Murdock outlined an idea so far-fetched and preposterous, it’s immediately disheartening to know that it’ll never happen.

“So I didn’t know this until a couple years ago, but apparently, the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were big Daredevil fans of the comic. And so in Daredevil, the toxic spillage that blinded Matt Murdock in his origin story, it then went into the sewers, and it created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Which is why in Daredevil, we have Stick, and then the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they have Splinter. And then there’s the Hand and the Foot. Anyway, I like that. I love that stuff. It’s pretty cool.”

The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen either teaming up with or squaring off against a hulking band of mutated turtles with a penchant for pizza? If that isn’t the greatest suggestion for a New York City-set mashup there’s ever been, then quite frankly we haven’t got a clue what is.
