Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth
Grant Morrison and Dave McKean’s graphic novel, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, isn’t the easiest read around. The art style and narrative flow are daunting at times, but if you stick with it, you’ll uncover one of the greatest Joker tales ever.
As the inmates take over Arkham, good ol’ Mr. J takes the lead, taunting and provoking the Dark Knight to stop them. It’s a story filled with mind-altering twists and turns that’ll take you to the depths of insanity and leave you cold and shivering. At the end of it, you’ll put it down and certainly need a nap to recover.
In more recent times, the graphic novel has served as an inspiration for the popular video game Arkham Asylum – which is also worth checking out if you haven’t done so already. It’s a crazy affair, but when it comes to the Joker, are you even surprised by this?
