Whether she appears in Avengers: Infinity War or not, there’s a Captain Marvel movie on the horizon – and we couldn’t be more excited.
Featuring the Oscar-winning Brie Larson (Room, Kong: Skull Island) in the title role, Marvel’s first female-led MCU movie has been a long time coming, but with a March 2019 release date locked in, Larson is already hard at work preparing for what is undoubtedly the role of a lifetime.
She’s already spent time moseying around Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, where she was seemingly given a quick crash-course on the inner workings of the military – Carol Danvers initially rose through the ranks of the air force, and was then appointed by NASA as head of security. From there, her DNA is fused with that of an alien during a near-fatal accident, resulting in the superpowers of strength, energy projection, and flight.
So make no mistake, flying is part of the job description, and below you’ll see a photo of Brie Larson continuing her prep work for Captain Marvel (and Avengers 4, too?). We’ve also included a few pics that surfaced last week, in case you missed them:
Brow furrowed and eyes straight, Larson’s face is one of determination, and she’s evidently taking things seriously as Captain Marvel inches closer to a production start. Bearing the caption, “learning how to fly,” her latest Instagram post is hot off the presses, and it likely won’t be the last.
Also starring Jude Law, DeWanda Wise, Samuel L. Jackson and Star Wars alum Ben Mendelsohn as the villain (leader of the Skrulls, perhaps?), Captain Marvel will officially take flight on March 8th, 2019. Production is also set to begin in Los Angeles sometime next month, meaning Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s origins movie is bang on schedule.
