Still licking his wounds – both physical and emotional – from the events of Age of Ultron, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark surprises many an Avenger by siding with the government’s plan to police the actions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. That puts a wedge between him and Chris Evans’ star-spangled hero, who believes that even though the Avengers are far from perfect, “the safest hands are still our own.”

Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War will order Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to the opposite ends of the battlefield on may 6, 2016. The film’s latest international poster, meanwhile, can be found below. Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and many more also star.

The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
