Deadline has announced that Brad Pitt has lined up yet another producing job for himself, through his production company Plan B. The film, titled True Story, will feature Pitt’s Moneyball co-star Jonah Hill and James Franco.
Set to be directed by Rupert Goold, True Story focuses on a journalist for The New York Times Magazine. Check out the summary below.
“Jonah Hill as Michael Finkel, a journalist for The New York Times Magazine, who learned that Christian Longo (James Franco), a man who was captured in Mexico after bring on the FBI’s most wanted list for killing his own family, had been living under Finkel’s identity. To make matters worse, Finkel was fired. With no where to go but down, the story takes a strange turn as Longo said the only journalist he would talk to was Finkel himself.”
The film is based on Finkel’s own memoir and is likely to go in front of the camera later this year. That’s really all that is known right now as it’s still in the early stages of development but we will keep you posted on further updates when we hear more.
