Amid the plethora of modern-day horror projects that completely set the genre on fire and ignite a burning passion among the fandom, the common denominator would be Blumhouse — one of the genre’s most successful production houses which attaches its label to virtually every project out there now. In the past, Blumhouse leader Jason Blum has dropped cryptic tweets in an attempt to paint a larger message for the horror world. Flash forward to now, and the acclaimed producer is back once more to leave an ominous impact on us all.
Over on his official Twitter account, Blum ignited his mountain of followers with an eye-popping message that has the entire horror realm debating what truth lies underneath. “This week is going to be AMAZING,” Blum tweeted just shortly after midnight. And if an award was given out to those with the best cryptic tweets, then Blum would certainly secure the gold. You can check out the post for yourself down below.
Based on the ominous feeling of the tweet, it should hardly come as a surprise that the majority of Twitter users and horror fanatics are convinced that Blum’s tweet points toward the chance for either the trailer for The Exorcist: Believer or the trailer for the Five Nights at Freddy’s live-action to drop at some point this week.
And seeing as each individual Blumhouse project — arguably the two biggest films in the last five years — are both considered to be heavily anticipated, it’s not difficult to comprehend why horror die-hards are on the edge of their seats just waiting for the smallest breadcrumbs of content.
