First Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer Debuts Online

The very first trailer for DC's upcoming Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has debuted online and teases what looks to be another must-buy.

2019 is shaping up to be an amazing year for DC animation. Already, we’ve seen the impressive Reign of the Supermen, and if that weren’t enough, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five arrives in April, with the long awaited Batman: Hush adaptation also set to debut at some point this summer. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, meanwhile, is scheduled for release in the fall and finally, we have the cherry on top of it all in the form of Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book miniseries written by James Tynion IV and illustrated by Freddie Williams II is acting as the source material for this effort and given that every character was penned perfectly, not to mention the narrative itself being top notch as well, our hopes are certainly high for this one.

And now, we have the very first trailer for the trans-dimensional crossover, teasing what looks to be another exciting animated adventure from DC, and one that will no doubt please fans of the comics. We get a pretty meaty look at the film –  from director Jake Castorena and screenwriter Marly Halpern-Graser – too.

As you can see above, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles track Shredder to Gotham City, where he’s planning to team up with Ra’s al Ghul and a few others from the Dark Knight’s rogues’ gallery to enact a sinister plot. Obviously, Bats and the Turtles are going to get into a little scuffle first but eventually, they’ll realize they need to work together to stop the real enemy.

Right now, Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles doesn’t have an exact release date, but it’s expected to arrive on Blu-ray, 4K UHD and Digital this spring. Given that the aforementioned Justice League vs. The Fatal Five hits shelves in April, we’d bet that it’ll be here in May – much like Batman Ninja last year – but as soon as we hear more, we’ll be sure to let you know.
