In last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos famously told Iron Man during their first encounter, “I hope they remember you.” Now, with Avengers: Endgame just four days away from release, a new TV spot shows Tony Stark vowing to give the Mad Titan “something to remember.”
As Rocket says in the latest promo, this week’s release will see the Avengers finally living up to their name as they take the fight back to the purple conqueror. Going by a clip released earlier this month, the team’s initial plan is to track down Thanos, steal his Infinity Stones and use them to reverse the snap. Interestingly, all the promotional footage from recent weeks seems to imply that Tony won’t be joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on this particular mission, suggesting that he may still be stuck drifting through space in this early stretch of the film.
In any case, the new TV spot also contains a shot of Iron Man doing a superhero landing against the backdrop of a rubble-strewn landscape. This smoky environment has shown up in quite a lot of promotional footage so far, and looks to be the setting for one of the film’s biggest battles. Though the location might well be an alien planet like Titan, it’s also a popular theory that we’re actually looking at the remnants of a destroyed Avengers Compound.
Either way, we’re expecting big things from Tony Stark in the upcoming flick, which is widely predicted to be his final outing in the MCU. Whether that means a heroic death or a well-earned retirement remains to be seen, but all will be revealed when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
