Thor Avengers Endgame

If you’re like everyone else, you’ve probably seen Avengers: Endgame already. The mega-blockbuster that marked the end of an unprecedented 22-film series is smashing box office records left and right and is well on its way to becoming the highest grossing movie of all time. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a money-grabbing machine, and with all that cash floating around, you may wonder how much some of your favorite stars have been making throughout the years.

A new article from CinemaBlend has put together a list of some of the MCU’s biggest and most profitable stars, and a lot of the numbers look as astronomic as the galaxies many of the movies play out in.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Downey Jr., the actor who started it all with 2008’s Iron Man and who had his last hurrah in Endgame, made about $75 million in his latest appearance alone. For 11 years of servitude as Tony Stark, it feels almost satisfying to see Downey Jr. get his due all the way until his triumphant end.

Other longstanding performers from the series got a hefty paycheck as well. Chris Evans, who’s played Captain America for 8 years and is similarly leaving the franchise after Endgame, made upwards of $15-20 million in his last two Avengers appearances. And Chris Hemsworth, the Australian-bred actor behind Thor, is believed to have made between $13-15 million, an impressive amount given his time in the MCU doesn’t look to be ending.

It doesn’t seem like the franchise’s newer performers are getting left out on payday, either. It’s suspected that Chris Pratt (Star Lord) made over eight figures combined from Infinity War and Endgame. Fresh-face Tom Holland (Spider-Man), meanwhile, looks to be making about $3 million from the last two films each. And Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon) unsurprisingly made less than his co-stars for his solely voice work, though exact numbers are unknown.

One thing that doesn’t look right about this picture is how veteran Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson may have made less than her co-stars in Avengers: Endgame. Again, there aren’t any exact figures, but according to THR, she’s expected to make a cool $15 million on her upcoming solo picture. As such, it’s safe to assume she’s not complaining.
