Currently sitting at $14.81 billion worldwide, Marvel Studios approached the milestone earlier this year when it released Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, which quickly became the MCU’s most profitable film domestically, hauling in a little over $682 million and a gigantic $1.3 billion globally.

T’Challa’s tenure at the top will be short-lived, however, as Thanos is expected quite handily to dethrone the King. Avengers: Infinity War has already sold out 1,000 screenings, according to Fandango, but the triple-zero plateau is just the tip of the iceberg.

Deadline has reported that Marvel Studios’ culmination of a decade-long effort to bring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes together on the big screen could result in a $498 million worldwide opening, making Infinity War one of the top five biggest openings of all-time.

Still, with all these figures being tossed about, if you’re a little curious as to where all our hard-earned cash goes, we’ve got you covered. Fun.com took the time to create the below infographic, which breaks down each of Marvel’s superheroes’ financial gains.

The MCU officially got underway in an Iron Man post-credits scene back in 2008 when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) approached Tony Stark (Downey Jr.) to discuss the Avengers initiative. What began with Jon Favreau and RDJ has exponentially inflated, and continues its expansion to this day.

A decade later, and Marvel Studios is preparing for the nineteenth entry inside of the MCU. Fittingly, it looks like Avengers: Infinity War will be the studio’s biggest release yet, but with some very exciting things on the way for Phase 4, who knows if it’ll stay that way.
