Earlier this week, the internet yielded some concept art exhibiting a very different Iron Spider design from the one that made the final cut of Avengers: Infinity War, and it seems that there’s a lot more where that came from, with a new Reddit post featuring Peter Parker in a range of designs.
Most of these pics seem to be based around the rescue operation on Ebony Maw’s spaceship, with various shots showing the wall-crawler hanging onto the edge of the structure and fighting off Outriders while Doctor Strange lies there tied up and helpless. We also get a few more variations on the image we saw previously of Spidey posing against the smokey backdrop of what may well be Titan. All throughout, Peter shows off a variety of outfits that demonstrate just how much can be done with a palette of red, blue, black, and gold.
Though costume changes are a tradition for many heroes in the MCU, the web-slinger in particular has a reputation for switching up his style on a regular basis. Set pics from next year’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, for instance, have seen Tom Holland in both a brand new red-and-black outfit, and in the European stretch of filming, a dark stealth suit. And while people mostly seem pleased with the fresh set of clothes, it’s clear that some fans are starting to think that all these wardrobe changes are getting a bit much.
Either way, Avengers: Infinity War left Peter Parker with a new look entirely when he turned to dust in Thanos’ snap, but you can expect to see him once more when Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019. After that, Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled for release on July 5th.
