Now that Ant-Man and the Wasp is out in the wild – and doing very well, might we add – and MCU fans have been left mulling over Avengers: Infinity War‘s remarkable bleak finale for several months, it’s only a matter of time before Marvel’s biggest ever movie descends on Blu-ray and DVD.
Rumors of a mid-August release window have circulated online for a while and today, we can confirm that everything you’ve heard is correct. Thanks to the newly released trailer above, we now know that Infinity War will hit Digital on July 31st followed by a home video release two weeks later, on August 14th. Exactly what we expected then, and while this preview we have for you today doesn’t show off any of the special features, we already caught wind of those last week.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that rumored Extended Cut will be included, but you can still look forward to all the usual goodies, be it deleted scenes, audio commentary, featurettes and everything else that accompanies Marvel’s releases onto Blu-ray and DVD.
So, after having grossed an exceptional $2 billion-plus at the worldwide box office, Avengers: Infinity War will soon see Thanos (Josh Brolin) invade your living space, and supposedly, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Ultron (James Spader) will be joining him. That’s because last month we learned that Marvel also has The Avengers and Age of Ultron headed for a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release on August 14th, the same day that Infinity War will hit store shelves.
Will you be picking up the entire trilogy though, or just Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ latest big screen adventure? As always, be sure to let us know by dropping a comment in the usual place.
