It’s the million-dollar question, really: When can we expect to see Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel‘s first trailers with our own two eyes?
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins to enter its annual lull – save for the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp in China – everyone is beginning to wonder when we’ll see the next major content drop from Marvel Studios. So much so, in fact, that the good folks at MCU Cosmic have cut through the noise to present a rough (and unofficial) timeframe for both Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel‘s respective trailer reveals.
Given its March 2019 release window, Captain Marvel will almost certainly showcase its wares first, with MCU Cosmic reporting that October is currently the safest bet of all. Not only is Ant-Man and the Wasp expected to reach home video in two months’ time (October 16th, perhaps?), but it would also ensure the film’s teaser trailer is out in the wild before the inevitable onslaught of Avengers 4 content.
Remember, with a title and a trailer still to reveal, Joe and Anthony Russo’s starry sequel will soon be taking up the lion’s share of Marvel’s marketing budget, so it makes sense for the Powers That Be to create some wiggle room between each trailer drop.
With that in mind, we’re now learning that mid-to-late November is the corridor in which Marvel plans to debut Avengers 4‘s first trailer. You’ll no doubt recall that the Russo Brothers shared Infinity War‘s maiden teaser on November 29th, 2017, so we imagine Marvel Studios will adhere to a similar timeline given the two movies are almost exactly one year apart.
But what say you? Do you expect to see both Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel‘s respective trailers online before the year’s end? You can, as always, share your own predictions down below.
