First Look At Ant-Man Villain Yellowjacket Leaks Online

With all of the talk about Marvel's newly-announced Phase Three slate, and all of the buzz surrounding their upcoming and hotly-anticipated Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron, it's easy to forget that Ant-Man is coming down the studio's impressive pipeline as well. We still don't know much about the film, and have only seen very little of it (pardon the pun), but that may be about to change.

With all of the talk about Marvel’s newly-announced Phase Three slate, and all of the buzz surrounding their upcoming and hotly-anticipated Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron, it’s easy to forget that Ant-Man is coming down the studio’s impressive pipeline as well. We still don’t know much about the film, and have only seen very little of it (pardon the pun), but that may be about to change.

A few days ago, we got a very brief glimpse at Ant-Man through some behind-the-scenes footage, and now, a leaked image has revealed what the movie’s villain, Yellowjacket, may look like.

For those who don’t know, Yellowjacket is the alter ego of Darren Cross – played by House of Cards alum Corey Stoll – a former protege of the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). The two had a falling out, which led to Cross taking control of Pym’s company – which, of course, includes the tech and suit that make Ant-Man’s size manipulation possible.

The glimpse of the Yellowjacket costume comes courtesy of MoviesBook, who uploaded this picture to Twitter early Friday morning:

As you can see, it’s not a very high quality photo, but it does give us a good idea of what we can expect from the film’s villain. The overall design is almost reminiscent of an Iron Man suit and is far more militaristic than the costume Paul Rudd will be donning. It could very well be that, despite having Pym on his side, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang is outmatched by a more advanced and more deadly Darren Cross.

Hopefully this image leak means that we’ll be getting our first official look at Yellowjacket in the near future. Until that happens though, let us know what you think of the suit in the comments section below.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17th, 2015.
