Anna Paquin Will Be Back For X-Men: Days Of Future Past After All

X-Men: Days of Future Past is the most ambitious film in the long-running franchise, and with cast members from the original trilogy returning to meet up with their younger selves from First Class, it's undoubtedly the biggest as well. While Bryan Singer has managed to bring back most of the franchise's characters, some have unfortunately fallen by the wayside in order to service the feature-length run time. Now, it appears that one actress left on the cutting room floor is getting a chance to cameo after all.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is the most ambitious film in the long-running franchise, and with cast members from the original trilogy returning to meet up with their younger selves from First Class, it’s undoubtedly the biggest as well. While Bryan Singer has managed to bring back most of the franchise’s characters, some have unfortunately fallen by the wayside in order to service the feature-length run time. Now, it appears that one actress left on the cutting room floor is getting a chance to cameo after all.

Back in December, Singer himself revealed that Anna Paquin, who played Rogue in the original trilogy, had been cut from DOFP during the editing process. Apparently, she had only one action scene that he called “extraneous” to the story.

“Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”

Well, as it turns out, she’ll make an appearance after all, though a rep at 20th Century Fox says that her part is “essentially a cameo.” So, though her original scene may have been cut, it looks like Singer found a way to fit her in after all.

Additionally, a report from Vulture suggests that “three more actors have filmed secret cameos.” No word on who exactly will be showing up, but chances are they’ll be spoiled for us long before X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on May 23rd.

Tell us, which other characters do you think will have cameos in the highly-anticipated sequel? Sound off below!
