Good Burger fans, rejoice! After nearly 26 years since its original release in 1997, Good Burger is set to make a triumphant comeback with a highly anticipated second installment.
This comedic flick became a beloved classic for an entire generation of fans who grew up with it, and it is once again poised to gift them with a long-awaited sequel, which has already begun shooting. The news of the start of the production arose from none other than Ed himself (Kel Mitchell), who posted a video on Twitter, gloating about his return to the set in the iconic delivery car that accompanied them almost three decades ago.
Accompanied by Kenan Thompson, who played the iconic Dexter Reed, the duo continue their adventures on set, perhaps with new debt at hand. Keeping some of its original 1990s charms, the Good Burger restaurant and car seem to maintain the beloved ambiance that the entire generation of millennials grew to love and cherish. Nonetheless, details about the plot itself remain slim, but perhaps things may have taken a dark turn if it means Ed and Dexter are still working at their summer job from 26 years ago.
News of any returning cast aside from Mitchell and Thompson has also not yet been released, but the film will be directed by Phil Traill, and written by Kevin M. Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who also spearheaded the creation of the original cult classic story in 1997. As for the release date, Good Burger 2 is slated to come out on Paramount Plus in November 2023.
In the meantime, the first installment can still be found on Paramount Plus, as you wait for the second home of the Good Burger.
