Although many superhero movies have graced the silver screen since The Dark Knight Trilogy concluded its run back in 2012, it could be argued that very few to follow have laid claim to having the same cultural impact or have garnered as much praise. Really, in addition to Batman Begins being the film that put the reboot concept on the map, it, and the trilogy as a whole, showed that comic book flicks were capable of doing much more than just selling toys – they could tell stories as rich and as layered as what can be found in the source material itself.
Of course, much of the credit goes to the man who oversaw the whole thing, that being director Christopher Nolan. Sure, there are probably other auteurs in Hollywood who are also fans of the Caped Crusader, but it took the right filmmaker at the right time to breathe new life into the genre. And, to the surprise of nobody, the success of his Batman movies allowed him to pretty much write his own ticket at Warner Bros.
So, now that Nolan’s complete resume under the WB banner has been given the 4K Ultra HD upgrade, films such as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, The Prestige, Inception, Interstellar and Dunkirk can now be purchased in the prestigious format.
But, even if you can lay claim to having such a fancy home theater setup, you may still need to mind your budget. So, if that’s the case, or if you just don’t feel like purchasing the complete set, you’ll be happy to know that Amazon is currently offering quite the steal on The Dark Knight by its lonesome.
Normally retailing at $41.99, it can currently be purchased for only $24.99. Not bad, eh? If you’d like to take advantage of the deal, just head on over to Amazon and add it to your cart. Happy shopping!
