If someone was to read out the cast members involved in writer and director Jamie Linden’s frivolous comedy 10 Years, then scanning the names through the lens of 2023 would have you thinking that it’s either an effects-heavy blockbuster hailing from a major franchise, or the latest installment in Rian Johnson’s stacked Knives Out series.

The ensemble boasts such renowned and globally-recognized stars as Channing Tatum, Oscar Isaac, Chris Pratt, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie, Aubrey Plaza, Kate Mara, and Justin Long to name but a handful, although none of them were in the same stratosphere of stardom that they currently reside in when the film first arrived in September of 2012.

In fact, 10 Years barely made a splash at all after bringing in less than a million dollars at the box office through its limited theatrical run, even if a 60 percent Rotten Tomatoes score saw critics in agreement that the high school reunion caper was an ever-so-slightly above average twist on a formula that’s been seen and done a thousand times before.

As the subgenre dictates, former high school buddies get reacquainted for the first time in a decade to discover that the more things change, they stay the same. They might be at different places in their lives both personally and professionally, but bad habits and lifelong grudges have a funny way of rearing their heads at the least opportune moments.

Presumably lured in by the sheer raft of name-worthy talent on display, 10 Years has suddenly sprung back into life as one of the biggest hits on Starz this week, with FlixPatrol revealing the quaint comic adventure stuffed full of incoming A-listers as one of the Top 10 most-watched features among subscribers in both the United States and United Kingdom.
