6) Spider-Verse
The Crossover: A recent event in the comics saw Peter Parker lead a collection of Spider-Men from alternate universes against a multi-dimensional threat that was trying to wipe them out. It would be a bit of an out-there idea for a movie, but we think there’s a lot of potential there.
Particularly, what we would love to see is for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to reprise their roles from previous versions of the franchise. Both of their movie series stopped before they were expected to so it would be great to give both of them some closure. Plus, it should be a lot of fun to see these different Spider-Men interact.
Likelihood – 4/10: In terms of rights issues, this one wouldn’t be a problem, as Marvel’s deal with Sony would theoretically mean they have access to the back-catalogue of Spider-Man movies. The problem here would be convincing those two actors back into roles they’ve moved on from and in getting such a wacky movie idea off the ground.
