8 Superhero Movie Crossovers We’d Love To See At Some Point

There's never been a better time to be a comic book movie fan. It’s become a bit of a cliché to say it by now, but that doesn’t make it any less true. As 2016 has made plain, with multiple franchises producing at least two a piece this year, various studios are working towards creating expansive, all-encompassing movie universes that mirror the shared worlds of the comics. Marvel are obviously in the lead with this at the moment, but Fox’s X-Men franchise is finally realizing its potential and DC are quickly playing catch up.

2) The X-Men Visit The MCU

Avengers-vs.-X-Men

The Crossover: We’ve suggested some Fox/Marvel crossovers before, but this is the big one we really want to happen: for the X-Men to crossover into the MCU and meet the Avengers. We’re not even suggesting a permanent shift of universes, just a temporary visit for a hugely exciting once-in-a-lifetime event movie.

Likelihood – 8/10: The big plus for this one is that the X-Men franchise has already played with time travel and alternate continuities, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch for Xavier’s team to travel to another reality – the MCU.

Likewise, Marvel just introduced the idea of the multiverse in Doctor Strange. Creatively, this one gets a thumb’s up – it would just depend on whether an agreement could be met behind the scenes. Still, we like to think that such a thing is possible.
