7) Ultra-Humanite
Despite having the huge honour of being the first supervillain that the Man of Steel ever faced, Ultra-Humanite is pretty unlikely to make the transition to the big screen at any point. Depending on the incarnation of the character, he is either too hokey and old-fashioned, or too downright odd.
A criminal genius who lost the use of his legs, U-H is hellbent on world domination. Initially, Superman creators Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel intended Ultra-Humanite to be the Man of Steel’s nemesis – figuring that an evil disabled man would be the perfect polar opposite of the brave, superstrong Kal-El. However, once Lex Luthor came on the scene, the character quickly lost his importance.
Things only got weirder for the guy, though, as later comics had his mind transplanted to the body of an albino gorilla. Speaking of which, he isn’t the only evil gorilla Supes has faced…
