6 Disturbing Portrayals Of Satan In Film

If I were to bring up the devil to you, how would you envision it? Would you imagine a creature, bent at the spine and fiery red with a forked tongue? Would you imagine some massive, hulking beast, dwelling in a boiling pit of human souls, gorging himself on them and shitting them out only to eat them again? Or maybe you would see Satan as the scariest thing of all: human. Maybe you just imagine the devil as one of us, walking among us, laughing that we don't know he or she is there. Or maybe you are one of those people who just laugh at the thought of imaginary deities that are created to keep us in line.

Tim Curry In Legend

There will be assholes in the comments section who try to yell at me and tell me that Tim Curry technically plays the “Lord of Darkness” in this movie, and is never actually referred to as any form of the Devil, Lucifer, or his many other names. They will also say that Legend takes place in a fantasy world where the Devil and God do not exist, per sey. To those people, I will say fuck off, and I will say it heartily.

All you need to do it take one look at Tim Curry in Legend to know that, not only is he obviously the devil, but he is the scariest fucking devil ever put on film. From his voice to the makeup job to the fact that he wants to kill the last of the unicorns and bathe the world in darkness, Curry is the devil in Legend, and is maybe the greatest devil ever committed to film.

‘Nuff said.
